How to Top Up an eSIM When Data Runs Out
If your plan supports top-ups, running low does not mean buying or reinstalling a new card. You recharge the eSIM you already have, and both data and validity stack onto your current plan â no reinstall, no re-scan.
What top-up (recharge) is
A top-up adds data and validity to the eSIM you are already using. It applies to the same card â no new QR code, no reinstalling a profile. It is the same eSIM, just with more data and more time.
How to do it
- Open the eSIM in My eSIM.
- If the plan supports top-ups and the card has not expired, a Top up option appears under the usage card.
- Pick a pack; for daily plans, choose how many days to add.
- Confirm the additive estimate for data and validity, then pay.
- Once credited, it stacks onto your existing eSIM â no reinstall or re-scan.
How stacking works
Total-data plans: both data and validity add up. For example, a 1GB/7-day card topped up with 1GB/7 days becomes 2GB total with validity extended by 7 days. Daily plans: you can only top up with the same daily allowance (1:1, no upgrade), and it adds more days.
Which plans support it, and refunds
Whether top-ups are supported is shown on the plan page, and the card must not be expired. On refunds: a top-up is fully refundable if it fails before crediting, but non-refundable once credited, since data lands instantly.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Do I need to re-scan or reinstall after a top-up?
- No. The top-up stacks onto your existing eSIM â no new QR code and no reinstalling the profile.
- Can a daily plan be topped up to a larger daily allowance?
- No. Daily plans can only be topped up with the same daily allowance (1:1); it adds more days, not a bigger daily cap.
- Can a top-up be refunded?
- It is fully refundable if it fails before crediting, but non-refundable once credited, because data lands instantly.
